I'm a Volunteer for the American Red Cross and was in Jackson MS 2 weeks after LB went to the Gulf. I have never seen so many rude, demanding people in my life. I worked in one of the assistance centers where people applied for their debit cards. We actually watched people apply for their card and then go outside and give their ID to other people who were close in height and age and come back in for another card. The fraud was rampant. The one night we actually got to stay in a motel instead of a tent was absolutely disgusting. There had been a family of about 8 people in the room before us with their pets and the stench of pet urine was overpowering. Needless to say, I'm no longer a volunteer for them because of that experience.
And why do you think that they are were acting like that?
And just WHY ARE they STILL acting like that, SHOES? And more importantly, WHY did they EVER act like that?
And of course, Sean Penn is your hero just because he is helping the people that STILL can't seem to try to help themselves. I read about a neighborhood in Mississippi that was hit by Katrina. It was occupied by a majority of Vietnamese. They didn't sit around and WAIT, they got it done themselves.
