A Short History of King George
No wonder Bush is our fearless leader. His family has done so much for the country. You can read more about the Bush Family's many stellar achievements here.
"Supporting" the Troops, Bush Style!
Thanks to the incredible success of the Iraq war, recruitments are down, and deaths are up. But hey, no problem, says the Washington Post, because the commanders have found a new source of manpower -- the insurgents!!
Equipped with arms from the U.S. and a generous supply of cash, the former Sunni insurgents are joining American troops in whatever it is we're doing over there. The bottom line: we are arming and financing Sunnis with what the Post calls "murky allegiances and shady pasts. " How shady? Many of them have ties to "al Qaida in Iraq," one of the administrations's favorite fear-mongering names.

U.S. generals said they vet the backgrounds of every recruit, but ground commanders here said that is all but an impossible task."Officially, we will not deal with those who have American blood on their hands," said[Lt. Col. Robert] Balcavage, 42. "But how do you know? You don't. There's a degree of risk involved. A lot of it is gut instinct. That's what I'm going on. They didn't teach me how to do this at West Point."

IRAQ on the RECORD!
Not from K-Tel, but from (friend of the show) Rep. Henry Waxman.
Prepared at the the congressman's direction, Iraq on the Record is a searchable collection of 237 specific misleading statements made by Bush Administration officials about the threat posed by Iraq. It contains statements that were misleading based on what was known to the Administration at the time the statements were made. It does not include statements that appear mistaken only in hindsight. If a statement was an accurate reflection of U.S. intelligence at the time it was made, it was excluded even if it now appears erroneous. For more information on how the statements were selected, see the full methodology. The Iraq on the Record Report is a comprehensive examination of these statements.
Iraq on the Record is searchable by the the five Administration officials most responsible for providing public information and shaping public opinion on Iraq:
President George W. Bush
Vice President Dick Cheney
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld
Then-Secretary of State Colin Powell
Then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice
It is also searchable by issue area:
Iraq's Nuclear Capabilities
Chemical and Biological Weapons
Iraq and Al-Qaeda
Iraq as an Urgent Threat
It is also searchable by keyword, such as "mushroom cloud", "uranium", "bin Laden", or "bonehead".
If they lied about the WMDs, it stands to reason that they lied about the WTCs.

The Next 9-11...Coming Soon
"Americans are stupid about risk... If I could manage to be smarter about risk than I usually am, I would worry less about the possibility of terrorism, and more about the probability that the same chickenhawks who exploited it before to sell us on war without end, will exploit it again to sing the virtues of temporary fascism."Meanwhile, back in the chicken coop...- Marty Kaplan, July 29, 2007
