In one of the largest terrorist attacks in Pakistan, a huge truck bomb exploded Saturday outside the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, killing at least 53 people. Experts said Taliban and al-Qaida militants most likely masterminded the attack.
The building — one of the few places outside the diplomatic district where U.S. diplomats were permitted to socialize — was still smoldering 24 hours after blast, and to the amazement of everyone at NIST and on the 9/11 Commission, refused to collapse!
