Robert Fisk: Even I question the 'truth' about 9/11
Published: 25 August 2007 - "Let me repeat. I am not a conspiracy theorist. Spare me the ravers. Spare me the plots. But like everyone else, I would like to know the full story of 9/11, not least because it was the trigger for the whole lunatic, meretricious "war on terror" which has led us to disaster in Iraq and Afghanistan and in much of the Middle East. Bush's happily departed adviser Karl Rove once said that "we're an empire now – we create our own reality". True? At least tell us. It would stop people kicking over chairs."

At the bottom of paragraph seven of this (excellent again, Shoes -- thanks!) article by Robert Fisk, it is written:
"Two prominent American professors of mechanical engineering – very definitely not in the 'raver' bracket – are now legally challenging the terms of reference of this final report on the grounds that it could be 'fraudulent or deceptive'."
I want to clarify that, contrary to what Fisk reports, only one "mcehanical engineer," Dr. Judy Wood, has officially challenged the NIST report, and in fact, out the four people who have officially challenged the NIST report on a legal level [Ed Haas, journalist and founder of the Muckracker Report, who was first to file a complaint specifically challenging the WTC7 aspects of the report, or lack thereof, on March 1, 2007; Dr. Morgan Reynolds, economist, who filed a complaint specifically targeting the "hijacked airliners disappearing into their targets in a physcially impossible ways" aspect of the report on March 8, 2007; Dr. Judy Wood, mechanical engineer, who filed a complaint specifically targeting "conflict of interest" issues with the companies hired to do the cover-up (whoops -- I mean clean-up) and investigation into the destruction of the WTC buildings and also the use of the word "collapse" to describe what was basically a "dustification" phenomenon, on March 15, 2007; Dr. Steven Jones, a "physicist" with a pretty shady history of falsifying data with regard to cold fusion, filed some weird, watered-down report that oddly does not even mention the words "thermite" or "molten steel"
despite these two things being his number one mantra in the Truth Movement, on April 12, 2007.] -- of all these challenges, Dr. Judy Wood's challenge was the first to receive an official response by the NIST, and is actually at the appeal stage as we speak.
I highly recommend a glance over Dr. Wood's appeal, which she only recently submitted on August 22, 2007:

As a chemist who is most interested in all this "lathering phenomenon" and is trying to figure out exactly what might be going on from a chemical perspective, I am especially impressed with Dr. Wood's presentation of evidence of this phenomenon beginning at about page 30 of the report. I have always claimed her Figure 53, with WTC1 so lathered up it looks like it is ready for a shave, to be my all-time-favorite 9/11 photo, as I believe it is the single most incriminating piece of evidence there is concerning 9/11 (with the possible exception of frame 2 of the Pentagon security tape, which I expect will eventually reveal Flight 77 was at least partially dustified in mid air just before parts of it flew into the Pentagon).
Disclaimer concerning Dr. Judy Wood: as much of a fan as I am of her work on dustification and her lead on uncovering the sham of the NIST report with hard-core evidence, she and I disagree strongly on "TV fakery" aspects of 9/11 issues. She believes TV fakery was used on 9/11 to mislead us, with many in the media and on the ground in on the hoax, and I believe everybody, including the media, have been completely confused about what really happened simply because we are not familiar with the effects of new, exotic weaponry and new phenomenon like dustification, nor are we familiar with the physical properties displayed as a result of these things in steel, concrete, and aluminum airplanes, etc...
PS -- All the above information and official documents concerning NIST "Request for Corrections" or RFC's (i.e., all the filings, responses, dates, etc.) can be found at:

Also, I just visited Ed Haas at the Muckraker Report, and lo' and behold, he (finally!) just received his response from the NIST. His comments and a copy of the response are available here:
http://muckrakerreport.com/id492.html
More clarifications: Ed Haas was actually the first to point out conflict of interest issues, especially with companies like ARA and FAIC, in his intitial NIST complaint. Dr. Judy Wood, however, has taken the issue to a entirely different level and has shown, beyond a reasonable doubt, that there was plenty of funny business going on with these companies and their involvement in 9/11. Once again, I highly recommend the discussion in her appeal on these issues, beginning at about page 2 or 3 and peppering her appeal throughout -- I mean she lays into it very early and often and with pretty convincing and incriminating evidence:

Also, while on the subject of Ed Haas, I am only just now discovering his writings on 911, but he recommended a long time ago that we watch a video called 911 revisited. It is available free at:
http://911revisited.com/video.html
I was most interested in a ten second segment of this video from 05:13 to 05:23 which appears to be the video version of my favorite "lathering" picture (i.e., Figure 53 of Dr. Wood's report). It really is highly recommended. I would love to hear what people think is going on here, if not intentional "lathering" of the entire side of WTC1 before its destruction (and an attempt to disguise it as "dust clouds" from the destruction WTC2).
This "War on Terror" killed another 2 Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan. One was only 23 years old and had been there for just 3 weeks. His name was Private Simon Longtin.
23.
Is it worth it?
Nope, Shirley, it's not worth it by any stretch of the imagination. It's criminal, what's happening to these kids.
h nic -- I'll go take a look and post later. Very intriguing links, thank you!
Mos Def headlining concert for justice:

If anybody goes, let us know if he sticks to the lyrics to "Bin Laden Didn't Blow up the Projects..." I've seen watered down versions of this printed on the Internet, but I suspect (and hope) he doesn't hold back during live concerts...
I've been thinking about Mr. Fisk some more today, and as much as I'd like to let old-time journalists like him off the hook by allowing some face-saving excuses for what the hell has taken them so long to get on the 9/11 bandwagon, I am going to go ahead and call Mr. Robert Fisk to the mat on his excuse anyway, which goes as follows:
"My final argument – a clincher, in my view – is that the Bush administration has screwed up everything – militarily, politically diplomatically – it has tried to do in the Middle East; so how on earth could it successfully bring off the international crimes against humanity in the United States on 11 September 2001?"
Well, somebody out there apparently needs to see part III of Zeitgeist, where that's the whole point of these otherwise pointless wars -- to purposely "screw things up" just enough to make the conflict go on forever while pocketing all the money made off of it.
I have a hard time believing Mr. Fisk is not fully aware of this little game and has himself actually benefitted quite handsomely in his line of work over the years as a result of it.
As much as I appreciate this article and what appears to be the faint glimmer of sincerity, Mr. Fisk is definitely not out of the doghouse with me, not by a longshot.
Bow Wow....
That URL must have been a good one because this is what I saw:

Here H.N. this might fuel your fire; re: "pocketing the money" which we also believe is the purpose of this trumped-up, phony "War on Terrorism."

We find it encouraging the "main-stream" journalist are beginning to see the light. The tone of Fisk's article is much in keeping with our thoughts here at S4I.
Now you're talking, Shoes! Leave it to Rolling Stone to lead the way here. Good for them.
It's still only the tip of the iceberg, though. I am still not 100% impressed. I'm calling this one a "softball" story because it's really only reporting what appears to be just public information, even though it's all news to me. The real story is: why wasn't this widely reported by the mainstream media years ago since it is apparently rampant, well-known, well-documented, widespread, and has been going on for years?
Also, this story only scratches the surface in an almost too-polite manner. The real story will be following the money trail back to the US and back to Congress. In fact, I suspect there are journalists and/or media entities out there with this information already. Why aren't you reporting it, 60 minutes?
Anyway, I am only going to be impressed when somebody from Rolling Stone does a similar expose on ARA and SAIC. That one will require even less investigative reporting because the fraud there is even more obvious, but it will require more balls to actual report it, since these companies are expert at killing people, making it look like an accident, and making people believe it was an accident w/o question.
Good luck to that brave reporter! I hope he/she doesn't suddenly die of cancer the way Peter Jennings did or have unexplained, mysterious seizures once every eight years the way Chief Justice John Roberts does -- you know, the guy who will preside over any impeachment hearings for the current regime, the guy who apparently can drop dead with a third mysterious seizure any moment now...

Interesting lack of comments from the right (albeit wrong) side of the aisle...
We guess it's hard to argue against a simple quest for the truth.
been busy bud...I'll see what I can come up with when I get a chance....Woof!
I'm copying the Rolling Stone article and mailing to both senators, my rep, Pelosi and Reid, and asking what they plan to do about the war profiteering, the waste and corruption. Then I'll post their replies here. Probably won't take up too much room, since they seem to have been born without spines.
I'm sure they'll get right back to ya' first thing Monday morning due to the seriousness of the subject.
Obviously someone did not read the material (again.)
chirp, chirp, chirp...
LOL! Yes, Shoes, sounds of crickets for sure.
I decided to get off my duff and not only participate, but actually host one of many candle light vigils being held throughout the country tomorrow evening (9/28) to honor our fallen soldiers and support bringing the troops home immediately.
It's easy to participate, even as a host if there isn't an event already set up near you, through MoveOn.org.
Thought I'd give it a try, though I am already changing a lot of MoveOn.org's "standard" program (which, as I found out today to my utter delight, is perfectly okay by them), like reading actual names of soldiers and details of how they died, instead of just reading "1 troop died on such and such a day. He/She was from California," etc. Details of each fallen hero are listed on important web sites like:
http://www.militarycity.com/valor/honor.html
Anyway, just trying to break up the sounds of crickets here, Shoes!
In the following story, I think we are all supposed to be shocked and dismayed that yet another Republican big-wig and Mitt Romney "right hand man" so to speak, Idaho's Senator Larry Craig, is a married man who has gay trists in airport restrooms whenever he can:
http://tinyurl.com/368mzt
I say BIG WHOOP (unless he is notoriously anti-gay in his politics, which he could be for all I know, at which point all the gay rights activists can have him for lunch for all I care).
Anyway, get over it, people, and keep your eye on the ball.
My big question about the following article is this: what the heck is an Idaho senator doing in a Minneapolis airport just a month before the (apparently still "mysterious") bridge collapse?
We believe MN/SP is a hub for Northwest Airlines, no doubt serving the Idaho corridor.
It's not the act, it's the hypocrisy as usual on the part of the Republicans...
Hey, h nic -- so glad to hear you're doing the votevets/moveon vigil. I am, too, but a few hundred miles south of you! Good luck, hope you have a huge turnout!!
In reference to Larry Craig:
Voted YES on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (Jun 2006)
Voted NO on adding sexual orientation to definition of hate crimes. (Jun 2002)
Voted NO on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation. (Jun 2000)
Voted YES on prohibiting same-sex marriage. (Sept 1996)
Voted NO on prohibiting job discrimination by sexual orientation. (Sept 1996)
Now. Don't let Karl, Alberto or Dirty Larry here distract everyone from the issues.
Craig can be dealt with later.
End the war.
Reopen the 9/11 investigation.
Impeach Bush and his war crime buddies.
I'm thinking maybe Craig has been dealt with already by his own guys. I don't think any of Craig's behavior is a big shocker to anybody in Congress. It just seems like such a major set up there at the airport.
"Complaints of leud behavior in the bathrooms?" When were the complaints launched -- before or after the undercover cop went into the bathroom with Craig? Were these complaints that day and Craig just happened to be on a very long stayover at the airport? Some busy guy! Or were they complaints in general and Craig was just all caught up in that great Minneapolis leud-bathroom-behavior crack-down?
Give me a break. There probably were no complaints. He was probably set up by his own guys because he was about to sing big-time on something or he was becoming too much of a liability in some sort of cover-up -- and they needed his credibility shot and him out of the picture ASAP.
Read the transcripts of the one and only guy who has even come close to getting Craig into trouble with "leud behavior."
http://tinyurl.com/2ygz54
Observe how painstakingly careful Craig is NOT to bring attention to himself in men's bathrooms.
The whistleblowers are probably the only ones left out there who can save the day for us at this point, folks, but they need to be protected! There isn't a "clean" Congressperson out there when it comes to their personal life. This guy was sold up-river by his own peeps -- and I'm not giving up the idea that it all has something to do with the Minnesota bridge collapse either -- at least not yet!
The Larry Craig Contingent here is surprisingly quiet on this post.
I'm shocked, I tell you -- shocked -- that Senator Norm Coleman from Minnesota is leading the way in calling for Craig's resignation...
http://tinyurl.com/2p5ugw
With John McCain, interestingly enough, not far "behind."
Norm Coleman, the guy most pushing to get Craig booted, is the senator from Minnesota who got into office in 2002 because his competition, Paul Wellstone, who was leading Coleman in the polls by about 9% at the time, was knocked off (oops -- I mean he died in a "mysterious" plane crash) just a few days before the election.
In fact, the two were supposed to have a political debate the night of the plane crash. What a convenient plane crash!
Gotta love the "coincidences" in which politicians are selected to be murdered (oops, I mean accidentally die) in plane crashes...
